Palos Park Man Angered At Brother For Producing Blog

Palos Park, IL -

Michael Baker, area husband and father of three is angry at his own brother for his recent publication of what is certainly a most unwelcome blog. "What I want to know is who he thinks he is doing this to me. Does he think he's being funny? Does he think he is clever? If so, he's the only one who thinks so, that's for sure," Baker fumed.

Baker traces the origins of the problem to a blog that he, himself created in late May. The contents of which feature recent family photos and narratives of his travels as a high-powered executive with AC Nielsen, the company he has been employed with for several years. The blog has also been reported to feature a thoughtful layout, creative picture placement and a logo utilizing a photo of an outstretched hand. His wife and children have also made some memorable contributions with captivating stories and dozens of images designed to warm the heart. The blog has received a wealth of attention and critical praise from friends and numerous family members alike since it's initial launch.

"I thought it would be a fun idea to create a blog for everyone to check out our photos and just kind of allow us to maintain a forum to keep everyone involved in our day to day activities," Baker said. "Like millions of other bloggers, I was expecting to enjoy the experience. Now, I'm sorry I ever logged on in the first place." Without warning, Baker's brother Christopher, an area man from Harlingen, Texas did something no one could have ever predicted. "Chris, or someone close to him, sent an email on the night of June 11th to me and several other people we know. Something about launching a blog of his own," Baker remembers. "At first, I thought it was a hoax but after reviewing the contents of his blog for myself, I was furious. Honestly, I didn't even think he could type." Baker went on to say, "Not many people in the family consider Chris to have all his marbles. I mean, he used to have conversations with door knobs and make wild claims like he personally knew Bob Dole and stuff like that.  Oh my God, there is just so much more wrong with him than right. I fear for his poor wife and children every day."

Upon first glance, Baker's ire was raised because of what he perceived as a personal challenge to his own blogging skills. "I saw what was being posted and I immediately felt like I was going to have to step up my efforts to out-blog him," Baker remarked. Primary concern is that some family members may be drawn away from his own site to that of his brother. "The content is sort of interesting enough I suppose," Baker admits. "And for someone of such limited mental capacity, I am frankly amazed he was able to pull it off. It just doesn't seem right. It absolutely flies in the face of the natural world we live in."

For his part, Baker has his doubts about his Brother's abilities to perform the most rudimentary of tasks related to blogging. So far however, Baker has been unable to verify if the posts are actually being contributed by his brother or another, much more sinister 'puppet master'. Secretly, many other family members, all of whom refused permission to use their names for this article, think that Christopher may actually be some kind of 'twisted savant' or simply copying material he finds elsewhere on the web. "He even stole my idea by using the domain name bakerfour.com," Baker asserted. Baker's own blog utilizes the domain, bakerfive.com. "He's not original, he's not anything special, he is nothing more than a hack seeking attention he doesn't deserve," Baker concluded. In fact, investigations into the underlying registration data does support Baker's claim to having obtained his domain name first. The mystery of the true contributor however, if indeed someone other than Baker's brother, seems likely to persist for some time.

When asked what specific plans are in the works for his own blog, Baker replied that "I'm going to be forced to add more content and take more pictures and spend way more time on this thing than I was ever going to. I may even end up having to add a poll or something." Baker also fears that by failing to put his brother in his place quickly and decisively may end up encouraging him to try other things that will eventually pose an even greater danger. Finally, when asked about what message, if any, he wanted to pass along Baker only had this to say: "Thanks a lot, Chris. You just signed your own death warrant."
